Privacy policy

This survey is being conducted independently for the Medical Research Council by Steve Myers of Team Technology, a registered Data Controller with the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.

This website does not use cookies. The information we collect comprises the information you enter into the questionnaire and automated logs of system activity.

Any information you provide is used only as part of the MRC's landscape survey and not for any other reason.

Information we collect and how it is used

The website logging system automatically collects certain information, including the site and/or page you visited previously, the browser you are using, and your IP address. This information does not identify you.

If you save or submit the survey, your responses are stored on a database. The information is used by Team Technology to produce a summary report, with is passed to the Medical Research Council project team along with all the detailed responses. This information is used to assist the planning and promotion of environmental sustainability inititatives in medical research in the UK.

If you have provided your contact details, the Medical Research Council may contact you for further information relating to the issues you raise. Your contact information will be held confidentially by the MRC project team and not passed to anyone else.

There are certain legal situations that may require third parties having access to the information. For example, we may pass the information to the police or another similar body if it is requested as part of a formal investigation. Also, if we sell Team Technology or merge with another business then the purchaser or other business will take responsibility for the information.
